I live in portland Oregon if that makes a difference.
The middle plans of both of them. 45-55 dollars a month.

WIth comcast The speed changes a lot. As in sometimes its pretty fast and others its SO SLOW you can’t even use it.I called them and said thats because in large markets there servers get overloaded. I pay 50 dollars as well as other people do so they should upgrade so that doesn’t happen. With verizon does the same thing happen?

Fios is very fast. I am a computer junkie, and I think this is almost too fast. I downloaded a gigabyte in an hour once, and that’s average speed. I have never seen the network slow.

On a side note: yes, everyone at Comcast pays for the service but increasing bandwidth is not a simple thing. In fact, in some cases, bandwidth is not the problem. A packet queue on some router or DNS machine might get filled, discarding extra packets, meaning that the requesting machine will keep requesting data, only to have it discarded…. what you get is tons of packets not being able to go anywhere, major cyber traffic jam. There’s nothing that can be done to fix that short of creating another separate network in the same area, and that’s VERY expensive.

I’m starting a small business in Portland, Oregon and I need to find out some market research information about my proposed location. I’ve had very little luck on the internet and I have found limited resources. Some things I need to know are the economic condition of my area, which includes dollars of retail and service sales, percentage of change from previous years, percentage of unemployment, and (this being the most challenging one) number of business starts and failures. This is only a piece of the information I need, does anyone know where I can find this information? By phone or internet? I need this information by tomorrow so I don’t have much time and I can’t actually visit any research businesses.

Any tips for boosting my website's Google PageRank? Its currently got a rank of 2.

I have a blog on the site that I update every couple of days, Ive added the website url to various directories and Ive submitted it to search engines…

How long will it be until I see an increase in my PageRank?

Any other tips please?

Much appreciated, thanks

The main thing that you should build more links to get high PR. Google will update their page rank algo every 3 months. If you gain thematic links then you will get good page rank.
