   You need incoming links from various sites all pointing to your site or it’s domain pages. There are some ways to do this, such as article writing, high PR directories and blogs, etc. You will need to focus also on your niche keywords for the anchor text in your linking strategy.

   There are a lot of different ways to get high rankings. One website that I like a lot will help you. You get fast results with minimum amount of effort. This site has gotten me high rankings very quickly.

   Register your site at http://www.google.com/local/add. That will move you up whenever anyone enters a city in their search.

   I agree with TopSavings.net, a lot of links with your targeted keywords for anchor text.
   Most preferably with good and relative content on the pages the links are pointing at. Basically making your website an authority in your niche.

   Here are some ways you can do to increase your Google Page Rank

   1. Link to other sites that have a good page rank. Be sure when finding links the website should be thematic with your own site. Bear in mind the Google choose the quality of links and not the quantity.
   2. Do off page optimization:
   * social bookmarking
   * forum posting
   * blog commenting and the likes

   Do some keyword research.. You can make use of https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal for that.. List all the possible keywords and emphasize on the ones that have higher values. Also you wouldn’t wanna target the highly competitive keywords for the start.. So chose somewhere in between. You can edit the title, description and keywords tags and include keywords in them. Edit your content using the keywords.. do not overdo it as that wud be counted as keyword stuffing. Then submit your sites on the search engines. It might take time to get indexed there hence it wud be better to follow other marketing methods. try to create many backlinks. Search engines usually give preference to site’s age, traffic and backlinks.. So if you can be good at atleast two of these then you might get good rank. for your site to get indexed by Google, try dmoz.org, for yahoo you can submit your site on their yahoo directory and so on..
