How long does it take for a site to get its first PageRank?

Jul 11th, 2009 by admin | 1

I have put up my website for online lamp retailing about tthree months ago and see that the PageRank on Google’s toolbar is still at 0/10. How long before I get some ranking?

Thanks!

Even though the indexing process of your website by Google takes some time, have you reviewed your SEO metatags lately since the <keywords> metatag contains excessive duplicate spamdexed entries such as the words "lamps," lanterns," etc. and the total number of keyword entries are well over the 15 alloted number. And why have you not inclluded your business location, i.e., city, state, country within the <title> in order to limit your business territory or geography, or do you want business from outside of the U.S.? Still another question to be asked is whether or not your domain name is a "brand" recognizable business name and if not, then leave it out of the <title> and place more generic terms that best describe what you are selling. In the meantime, my evaluationn of your website is that it looks inviting and your products are top drawer.

Good luck!
