my website has been online for a little over 90 days, i still don’t show up when doing a search on my keywords in any of the search engines – in a very competitive catagory. i know there is a hypothetical google sandbox, but i’ve heard that yahoo has no such thing. how soon should a person expect that their website show up in search results? i really feel that my site content, keywords and meta-tags and overall design are all good, but i’m beginning to get concerned, is it too early to worry just yet or is 90 days long enough to expect some results?

There is a sandbox, but 90 days seems a little excessive Are you getting good backlinks? If not, you are probably listed, but not ranked high enough.

Search Engine Optimization is a very tricky business and cannot be easily understood in just a few paragraphs. I used to give long answers to this question, but got tired of repeating myself, so I just wrote a 13 page guide that you can download for free and read over. It will tell you everything you need to know about SEO.

I hope this helps, as it covers much more than I could go into in the word limit alloted by Yahoo!
